INTERACT CLUB
The Hyde Park Rotary Club is starting an Interact Club at the FDR High School. Interact is a service club for students from the ages of 12 to 18. There are more than ten thousand clubs in 109 countries with several active clubs in Dutchess County. The clubs are self-governing and self-supporting with guidance provided by the sponsoring Rotary club.
The Hyde Park Interact club recently attended UN Day in New York City. Eight of the Interact students attended the event which featured a number of Rotary youth presenting about the programs they have been involved in. It was a great chance to see some of projects the other Rotary youth groups such as other Interact clubs and Rotoract have taken on. Below is a picture of the group on the train to Grand Central and a picture of the club at the UN.
